Garlic skin can be frustratingly clingy. Whether you need one clove or five heads, there's a better way to peel.
Method 1: The Smash
Place the clove under the flat side of a chef's knife and give it a firm whack with your palm. The skin will pop right off.
Method 2: The Shake
Place cloves in two identical metal bowls (rim to rim) and shake vigorously for 20 seconds. The friction peels them for you.
